Das Electro-Pop Trio Hidden Souls aus Argentinien liefert mit „The Incorruptile Dream” ein Album ab, welches sich stilsicher zwischen klassischem Synth- / Electro-Pop, Future-Pop und durchaus etwas düsteren Klängen positioniert. Dabei verbinden die drei Musiker gekonnt eingängige Melodien, tanzbare Rhythmen und eine transparente Produktion, die den elf Songs des Albums den notwendigen runden Schliff geben.

So lässt sich die Band auch Zeit für jeden Song und produziert bewusst keine typisch kurzen dreieinhalb Minuten Singles, sondern gibt den Kompositionen den Raum, den sie sowohl klanglich als auch textlich benötigen, um ihre Wirkung zeigen zu können. Dabei wird weder an atmosphärischen Intros („Know“) noch an ausufernden Instrumental-Passagen („Political Brainwash Machine“) gespart, die wesentlich dazu beitragen, dass man sich als Hörer in den Klangwelten von Hidden Souls verlieren kann.

Hidden Souls liefern mit „The Incorruptile Dream” ein wunderbar homogenes Electro Album ab, welches sich trotz vertrautem Klangbild nicht als konstruierte Hitfabrik aus dem Electro / Dance Baukasten präsentiert, sondern sich bewusst als Gesamtwerk versteht und dazu einlädt, sich die Zeit für ihre Musik und auch die Texte zu nehmen.


The Argentinean electro pop trio Hidden Souls presents their debut album "The Incorruptible Dream" which places itself right between classic synth / electro pop, future pop and some kind of gloomy sounds. The three musicians skilfully combine catchy melodies, danceable rhythms and a transparent production putting the final polishing touches to the elven songs of the album.

The band takes their time with each song and deliberately does not produce any typically short three-and-a-half minutes singles, but gives the compositions the space they need soundwise as well as lyrically to unfold their full potential. In doing so, the songs neither cheap out on atmospheric intros (“Know”) nor on extensive instrumental passages (“Political Brainwash Machine”) which are essential in helping the listeners to lose themselves in Hidden Soul’s world of sound.

With “The Incorruptible Dream” Hidden Souls present an amazingly homogenous electro album which, despite the familiar sound patterns, does not look like a designed hit factory taken from an electro / dance model kit, but sees itself as a complete oeuvre and invites the listeners to take their time to listen to both the music and the lyrics.
