Mit „Gravitas“ präsentieren Absurd Minds ihr nunmehr achtes Studioalbum.
Auf 11 Songs zeigt die Band wiederholt ihre Versatilität beim Songwriting.
Neben kraftvollen, schnellen, dynamischen Tracks sind es auch die langsameren, balladesken Töne,
die ihren Sog entfalten und in denen die Band seit Jahren ihre Stärken zeigt.

Nachdem die Schwerkraft vorrangig eine wissenschaftliche Bedeutung erlangt hatte, wird sie mit „Gravitas“ zu einem figurativen Gewicht.
So ist das Album als Aufforderung zu verstehen, den Widrigkeiten unserer Zeit, genau wie die alte römische Tugend, in sich ruhend zu begegnen,
dem Alltag mental die Schwere zu nehmen und sich nicht von der Welt „da draussen“ permanent „einnebeln“ zu lassen.
Das alles natürlich mit der gehörigen Portion Ernsthaftigkeit und Würde.

With “Gravitas” Absurd Minds present their eighth studio album.
On 11 songs, the band repeatedly shows their versatility in songwriting. Besides powerful, fast, dynamic tracks, it is also the slower,
ballad-like tones that unfold their pull and in which the band has been showing its strengths for years.

After gravity had primarily acquired a scientific meaning, it becomes a figurative weight with “Gravitas”.
Thus, the album is to be understood as a call to face the adversities of our time, just like the old Roman virtue, to rest in oneself,
to mentally take the heaviness out of everyday life and not to let oneself be permanently “fogged in” by the world “out there”.
All of this, of course, with the proper amount of seriousness and dignity.
